At Michael Hill, we're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to lead financial accounting, reporting and asset related activities across our Group Services and asset management functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, driving process improvements and providing meaningful commercial insights.

What You'll Be Doingn

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Corporate, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and supporting business performance across the Group. Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading month-end reporting processes for Group Services and asset accounting
n
- Manage the reporting and analysis of Group capital expenditure (Capex), providing insights on budget performance and variances. Reviewing financial results and providing insightful variance analysis
n
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
n
- Partnering with project leaders and stakeholders to drive accurate project costing and financial management
n
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
n
- Providing technical accounting guidance relating to assets and SaaS arrangements
n




- Coordinating audit requirements and statutory reporting activities
n
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
n
- Mentoring and supporting direct reports while fostering a collaborative team culture
n

What We're Looking Forn

We're seeking a commercially minded finance skilled who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.

You'll bring:

n

n
- CPA or CA qualification
n
- Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
n
- 5+ years' accounting experience
n
- Strong financial reporting and general ledger experience
n
- Sound knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
n
- Experience managing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes
n
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
n
- Experience working with ERP systems, with Dynamics 365 highly regarded
n
