Care Worker Team Leader – Aged and Disability Services
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week or Part time 21 to 28 hours per week
Help lead a care workforce that supports people to live with dignity, choice and connection.
About the role
Advance Diversity Services (ADS) is seeking a Care Worker Team Leader to provide operational leadership, supervision and performance support to Care Workers delivering home care and disability services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) clients.
You will work closely with the central Rostering Team to support effective staff-to-client matching, resolve scheduling challenges and maintain workforce engagement. While rostering is managed centrally, you will also provide rostering support and step in to undertake active rostering when required to maintain service continuity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to Care Workers
- Mentor staff and support their performance and professional development
- Partner with the Rostering Team to address scheduling issues and staffing bottlenecks
- Help optimise staff availability and appropriate staff-to-client matching
- Provide practical support to rostering and undertake active rostering when required
- Promote respectful, culturally responsive and person-centred service delivery
- Support continuity and quality of home care and disability services
About you
- Diploma in Community Services, Aged Care, Health Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant leadership experience
- Experience supervising, mentoring or leading frontline care staff in home care, aged care or disability services
- Understanding of the cultural and linguistic needs of diverse clients and workforces
- Practical knowledge of rostering principles, SCHADS Award provisions and workforce scheduling software
- Experience analysing staff availability and addressing workforce scheduling challenges
- Strong communication, interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with rostering and other administrative teams
- Current Australian driver's licence and access to a car for work
- Current National Police Certificate or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, issued within the last six months
- Working with Children Check and eligibility to work in Australia

- Full-time or part-time opportunity
- Hybrid working arrangement, subject to approval and completion of probation
