An opportunity for a senior Health & Safety leader to take a key role across safety systems, compliance and assurance supporting operations across multiple Australian states.

n

This role will provide leadership across the organisation’s safety management system and assurance agenda, while continuing to provide practical, expert safety advice and support across the business.

n

This is a broad, multi-state role requiring someone who can operate strategically while remaining close to operations - working with leaders, employees, contractors and regulators to strengthen systems, lift capability and drive continuous improvement.

The role n

You will:

- Lead and continuously improve health and safety standards, systems, tools and processes
n
- Provide specialist advice across safety legislation, risk, systems and regulatory requirements
n
- Lead the regulatory compliance framework across safety and broader technical obligations
n
- Oversee assurance and audit programs, including the effectiveness of critical risk controls and management systems
n

What you will bring n





We are looking for an experienced safety professional with strong technical depth, commercial judgement and the ability to influence.

You will bring:

n

n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Health Sciences, Engineering or a related disciplines
n
- Leadership experience and influencing across broad stakeholder groups
n
- Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining safety management systems, standards and procedures
n
- Strong assurance and audit capability, including developing programs and translating findings into measurable improvement
n

- You are practical, resilient and comfortable working through complexity, with the ability to see the connection between operational risk, management systems, regulatory obligations and business performance
