Next Level Consulting is currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing operation in Bathurst.
n The business is part of a global organisation specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of railway infrastructure. The Bathurst facility produces complex, heavy-duty steel components used across railway, metro and light rail networks, with a strong focus on quality, precision and safety.
n This is an excellent chance for a trade-qualified Boilermaker who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, working with heavy steel and being part of a specialised manufacturing environment.

nAbout the Role n
n
Working as part of an experienced workshop team, you will be involved in the fabrication and assembly of large and complex steel components used in railway infrastructure.
n Your duties will include:
n
n
n
n
- Fabricating and assembling structural and heavy steel components
n
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans
n
n
- Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials
n
n
- MIG/MAG welding and general fabrication
n
n
- Fitting and assembling components to tight specifications
n
n
- Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
n
n
- Carrying out grinding, gouging and other preparation work
n
n
- Working with large and heavy steel components
n
n
- Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements
n
n
- Working collaboratively with welders, fitters, machinists and other trades
n
n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop
n
n
- Following established quality, safety and production procedures
n
n
n

nAbout You n
n
The successful applicant will have the following
n
n
n
n
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent
n
n
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
n
n
- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
n
n
- Experience working with structural or heavy steel
n
n
- Good measuring, fitting and fabrication skills
n
n
- A strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
n
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
n
- A strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic
n
n
n
nThe Background We’re Looking For n
n
Experience in heavy engineering, mining equipment, structural steel, rail, transport equipment, industrial fabrication or similar environments would be highly regarded.
n You don't necessarily need previous rail experience. What's important is that you have the fabrication fundamentals, can work accurately from drawings and are comfortable working on l arge-scale, heavy steel assemblies.
