Double Glazed Architectural Windows (DGAW) is seeking a reliable and experienced Factory Fabricator to join our growing team in South Geelong.
About the Role
This is a full-time factory-based position involving the fabrication and assembly of aluminium windows and doors from supplied drawings and cutting lists.
- Fabricating aluminium windows and doors to supplied drawings and specifications
- Cutting, machining and preparing aluminium profiles
- Assembling window and door frames, sashes and panels
- Installing hardware, locks, rollers, hinges and associated components
- Glazing and preparing completed units where required
- Checking measurements, squareness, operation and overall finish
- Reading fabrication drawings, cutting lists and job sheets
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
- Working closely with our factory and installation teams to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on schedule
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience fabricating aluminium windows and doors, or similar manufacturing experience
- Can confidently use hand tools, power tools and factory machinery
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship
- Can accurately read measurements and fabrication drawings
- Works well both independently and as part of a teamIs reliable, punctual and organised
- Understands the importance of quality control and workplace safety
Experience with Alspec window and door systems would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right applicant.
