Where you'll be working: Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital
What you'll be doing: Infectious Diseases Trainees provide a high standard of clinical care to inpatients, outpatients and consultation patients under the supervision of specialist Infectious Diseases physicians. The role supports trainees in fulfilling the requirements of RACP Advanced Training in Infectious Diseases for those pursuing specialist training in Infectious Diseases. The role also includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments. Trainees will fulfil the service requirements of the Blacktown Infectious Diseases Department, including attendance and participation in multidisciplinary and clinical meetings, journal clubs,
supervision and education of junior medical staff, and active participation in antibiotic stewardship, infection prevention and control, and ambulatory care programs.
Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team - diligence, punctuality, organisation, record keeping, time management, problem solving skills, teamwork
- Demonstrated Commitment to ongoing education, research and teaching
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
