12-month CONTRACT with potential extensions Onsiteworking arrangement (5 days in Canberra CBD) Daily rate: $950 (inc SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW Project Manager (Electrical Substation) with solid experience of both the commercial and technical aspects of delivering electrical substation and distribution projects. You will manage a portfolio of current infrastructure projects, supporting the growth of the electricity network. At this stage most of the work is conduit/cable laying. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING n

Oversee all project delivery phases, from tender to closeout, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and procedures.

Efficiently plan and coordinate project delivery to meet or exceed customer requirements.

n

Manage field-based activities, including time, cost, quality, and safety, in collaboration with a project team (engineer, construction manager, and field leaders).

n

Conduct risk assessments and workshops to mitigate HSE and enterprise risks.

n

Lead communication with internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, through status updates, board papers, and memos.

n

Ensure full compliance with HSEQ Management and Risk Management Plans.

Apply PMBOK-based frameworks to produce Project Management Plans and related documentation.

Maintain project schedules using MS Project, manage resources, and forecast costs using SAP and Excel.

MORE ABOUT YOU n

Proven experience in projects within utilities infrastructure or industrial electrical environments.

n

Extensive proven experience working with HV systems in Transmission Lines and/or Substations.

n

Documented experience working with HV systems in construction, industrial, or utility environments.

n

Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst develop strong working relationships.

n

Ability to lead and motivate teams and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.

n

Expertise in managing budgets, controlling costs, and delivering financial outcomes.

n

Advanced skills in MS Office, including MS Project; SAP experience is a plus.

n

A degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, is highly desired.
