What You’ll Be Doing n

As a Food Safety Auditor, you will be responsible for assessing client food safety and quality systems against recognised standards and certification requirements.

n

You will:

n

n
- Plan and conduct third-party food safety audits across a variety of client sites and food categories.
n




- Assess compliance against GFSI-recognised schemes and relevant food safety standards, including BRCGS, SQF and FSSC 22000.
n
- Apply risk-based thinking to evaluate food safety systems, processes and controls.
n
- Prepare explicit, accurate and timely audit reports and document findings.
n
- Provide professional, practical and constructive feedback to clients.
n
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to effectively manage audit schedules and expectations.
n
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders while maintaining independence and integrity throughout the audit process.
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and food safety excellence across our client base.
n
- Travel to client sites as required.
n

The Successful Applicant n

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications and experience:

n

n
- Degree qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Agriculture or a related food discipline.
n
- Successful completion of Lead Food Safety Auditor Training.
n
- Formal HACCP Principles and Applications training.
n
- Current GFSI scheme registration and auditing competency in standards such as BRCGS, SQF and FSSC 22000.
n




- A proven track record of at least 10 years' experience in food industry Quality roles.
n
- Experience spanning five or more food categories, such as dairy, baking, food ingredients, meat, beverages, fresh produce or other relevant categories.
n
- Comprehensive audit log demonstrating completed third-party audits.
n
- Strong knowledge of food safety, quality systems and compliance requirements.
n
- Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to independently manage audit schedules and travel to client sites as required.
n
- A genuine passion for food safety, compliance and helping businesses continuously improve.

The following experience will also be highly regarded:

- Experience across multiple food manufacturing, retail or regulatory environments.
n
- Exposure to major retailer programs such as Coles, ALDI and Woolworths.
n
- Broader auditing competency across multiple GFSI schemes and food categories.
n
- Experience conducting regulatory, supplier, internal or certification audits.
