Veterinary Nurse - Casual or Flexible Part-time position

Fraser Coast Veterinary Services is a long established, well respected small animal clinic with our main practice in Maryborough and a branch clinic in Howard. We are proud of our strong reputation in the local community and our genuinely supportive, close knit team culture.

We are currently looking for a compassionate and warm Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a casual or part-time basis.

n

About the role

n

This role is ideally suited to a confident, capable nurse who enjoys being hands on, leading by example, and helping maintain high clinical standards across the clinic. You will play a key role in supporting surgery days, guiding less experienced nurses, and ensuring smooth daily workflow.

n

Experience is preferred, however training and support can be provided for the right candidate.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Surgical nursing including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre support
n
- High quality inpatient care and client communication
n
- Assisting veterinarians with a varied and compelling caseload
n

n

About you

n

We are looking for someone who brings both skill and passion to the team. You will ideally have:

n

n




- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification preferred
n
- Experience and confidence in animal handling and general small animal nursing
n
- Strong surgical nursing and anaesthesia monitoring skills
n
- Confidence supporting and guiding other nurses
n
- A calm, practical approach in a busy clinical environment
n
- A genuine commitment to patient care and teamwork
n
- Flexiblecasual or part timeemployment options

- Supportive and experienced veterinary and nursing team
n
- Interesting, varied caseload in a well-equipped clinic
n
