We are currently looking to expand our maintenance team to include an additional Mechanical Fitter for works to be performed out of our Nowra Depot.
n
The duties of the roles will include but not limited to:
n
Assisting with maintenance tasks in accordance with SSR Policies and Procedures
n
Maintaining and provisioning of Locomotives and Wagons for train operations by following SSR Procedures
n
Performing fault repairs and failure rectifications
n
Undertaking maintenance tasks to validate the integrity of rolling stock and ensuring all operational systems are safe and effective
n
Conducting themselves in a qualified manner with a strong customer and safety focus
n
Ensuring a commitment to established processes and management of risks with the objective of zero injuries
n
If you have not previously worked your trade within the rail industry,
full training will be provided to adapt your current skills to the rail industry.

In pursuit of customer focused service delivery outcomes, this position may require rostering that may vary upon maintenance requirements, including some weekends and shift work.

The successful applicant must demonstrate the following key requirements:

Prior trade experience
n
A commitment to a safety culture, and a can-do customer focus
n
Professionalism, integrity, reliability and a positive attitude
n
Hold a current Drivers License
n
Hold a current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
Ability to pass relevant Rail Medical if required
n
