Job Description

Lion & Mouse is looking for Disability Support Workers to provide assistance, including overnight and sleepover assistance to valued clients. In this role, you'll be making a real impact—helping people maintain independence, feel safe, and enjoy meaningful connections.

Key responsibilities n

n
- Provide high-quality support to individuals living with disabilities
n
- Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility assistance
n
- Support clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household duties
n
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment during night shifts
n
- Engage in meaningful social interactions to enhance the well-being of clients
n
- Monitor and respond to any overnight needs or emergencies
n
- Transport participants as required, ensuring safe travel
n
- Maintain accurate progress notes and document client interactions
n
- Follow individual support plans to ensure quality care
n
- Work collaboratively with other support staff, healthcare professionals, and families
n

About you nn
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support, or Individual Support
n
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience in disability, community, hospital, or aged care settings
n




- Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
n
- Hold a Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
n
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check upon employment
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
- Availability for overnight and sleepover shifts
n
- Robust problem-solving skills to adapt to clients' individual needs
n
- Ability to build trusting and positive relationships with clients and their families
n
- Ongoing regular shifts with rosters created in advance
n
