Job Description

At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a Product Developer to join our Product Development team, working across three of our brands - ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.

In this role, you will be working across multiple brands and seasonal ranges; you'll combine your technical product knowledge with strong organisation and supplier management skills to help bring commercially relevant, high-quality footwear to market.

Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you'll play a key role in developing seasonal footwear ranges across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux.

n

From initial concepts through to production approval, you'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products meet our quality standards, brand vision and critical path.

The role n

- Develop seasonal footwear ranges from initial concept through to approved production across ROC, The Trybe and Bobux
n
- Prepare seasonal range plans and detailed sample specifications, including colours, leathers, finishes, trims and components
n
- Manage the sampling and development process, ensuring samples are delivered to the required quality and within critical path timelines
n
- Review samples, identify issues and communicate required changes with suppliers and the wider Product Development team
n
- Conduct fit sessions and manage the fitting process from initial fit through to production sign-off
n
- Prepare and maintain accurate production specifications and product information
n
- Work closely with offshore suppliers and manufacturers to monitor quality, timelines and production requirements
n
- Identify product or quality issues and work with the Product Development Manager and suppliers to implement practical solutions
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners
n




- Collaborate with internal teams including Buying, Procurement, Marketing and Wholesale to communicate product information and support successful range delivery
n
- Support sustainability initiatives, including identifying opportunities to improve sustainable product development practices

About you n

You'll be someone who genuinely enjoys the detail involved in developing footwear and understands what it takes to move a product successfully from an idea through to production.

- Previous experience in a Product Development role
n
- Footwear product development experience - highly regarded
n
- A strong eye for product and design, with an understanding of current fashion and footwear trends
n
- Experience managing samples, product specifications and production requirements
n
- Confidence working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers
n
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve product and quality issues
n
- Excellent communication, administration and organisational skills
n
- The ability to manage multiple brands, products and competing seasonal deadlines
n
- A collaborative approach and confidence working across different teams and stakeholders
n
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
n
