Quality Assurance Assistant / Technical Co-ordinator n

Wing Hong Foods is a family-owned food manufacturing business based in Botany currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant / Technical Co-ordinator to join their team.

About the role n

As the Quality Assurance Assistant / Technical Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring established Quality and Food Safety standards are met throughout the business by maintaining, monitoring and supporting the HACCP and Quality Management Systems.

n

This is an entry-level position that will suit a recent graduate and will providean excellent opportunity toparticipate ina multi-discipline role.

Duties will include, but are not limited to n

n
- Liaising with management, staff,suppliers & clients
n
- Monitoring and training staff in Food Safety and Quality procedures
n
- Assisting the production team with technical support & compliance
n
- Assisting with mock recalls and traceability exercises
n




- Co-ordinating micro testing of products with external laboratories
n
- Verifying, filing and maintaining quality / production records
n
- Supporting internal and external audits
n
- Managing non-conformances
n
- Maintaining SOPs
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement
n

Skills & Requirements nn
- Bachelor degree in Food Science or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
n
- Computer literate (including use of Microsoft Office suite)
n
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
n
- Strongtime management and organisational skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
n
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday 7:00am to approximately 4:00pm with the ability to work additional hours as required
