Senior Design Engineer

Role and Responsibilities
n You will be a lateral thinker and problem-solver, taking responsibility for decision making for the complete product lifecycle and its impact on setting and community. You’ll have the enthusiasm and ability to change existing product development approaches.
n Responsibilities include:
n
n
- Ensuring products are holistically considered and linked to the company’s mission and philosophy
n
- Detail design of electromechanical assemblies with a broad range of materials, production and finishing knowledge and surface finishing techniques
n
- Fast turnaround prototype construction, produced both internally and with contractors
n
- Performing tolerance stack analyses and technical design reviews (DFM/DFA) to ensure mass-production viability and quality
n
- Communicating with overseas manufacturers on component and assembly development and product quality expectations
n
- Driving technical root-cause analysis (FMEA) and corrective actions to resolve design and performance issues during development
n
- Maintaining technical documentation and reporting to stakeholders
n
- Following product performance test procedures to ensure the quality and safety of product satisfy regulatory standards and brand expectations
n
- Supporting the development and delivery of the strategic product roadmap in an efficient and timely manner
n

Your Skills and Experience n
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronic or manufacturing engineering with electromechanical product design experience in both R&D; and manufacturing environments
n
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience
n
- Experience with domestic consumer products in the food or beverage industry a plus
n
- End-to-end product development experience
n
- Motor driven product design experience - highly desirable
n
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials and manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping
n
- Proven experience collaborating with cross functional teams, locally and abroad, as well as coordinating with international manufacturing partners
n
- Familiar with both regional and international safety compliance standards
n
- Proficiency in CAD modelling (Solidworks), mechanical and thermal analysis knowledge - highly desirable
n
