About the role

Rainbow Valley Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Trainee Childcare Educator to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career in early childhood education and care. As a Trainee Childcare Educator, you will work alongside experienced educators to support the development, wellbeing and learning of children in our care. This role is perfect for individuals who are committed to obtaining their childcare qualifications whilst gaining practical, hands-on experience in a supportive and nurturing environment.

What you'll be doing

- Supporting qualified educators in delivering age-appropriate activities and educational programmes that foster children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development
- Assisting with the supervision and safeguarding of children, always ensuring a safe and secure learning environment
- Helping to maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised childcare facility in accordance with health and safety standards
- Supporting children with daily routines including mealtimes, rest periods and personal hygiene
- Contributing to the planning and preparation of educational resources and materials
- Following and adhering to Rainbow Valley Early Learning Centre's policies, procedures and duty of care requirements
- Supporting the team in maintaining a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and families

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development
- Willingness to pursue an early childhood education and care qualification (Certificate III)




- A current or valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Patience, enthusiasm and a calm demeanour when working with young children
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and child safeguarding principles
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work as part of a team
- First Aid and CPR certification (desirable, or willingness to obtain)
