Senior FP&A; / Commercial Analyst (Contract) n

Location: Artarmon, Sydney NSW

About the Role n

We are seeking a high‑performing finance professional to join a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing sector on a short‑term contract. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running , lead by example , and partner effectively with senior stakeholders while delivering commercial insights and supporting month‑end processes .

You’ll play a key role in margin analysis , dashboard‑driven reporting , and business partnering across multiple regions, including Asia. The successful candidate will combine technical excellence with strong communication and influencing skills , helping to plug gaps in the team and drive high performance.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Deliver commercial analysis including margin, profitability, and variance insights with actionable recommendations.
n
- Partner with senior stakeholders (including Asia leadership) to provide concise, impactful financial support.
n
- Shape and leverage dashboards (Power BI/Excel) to enhance reporting and decision‑making.
n
- Support month‑end close activities (P&L;,



balance sheet reconciliations, WIP, accruals).
n
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance planning initiatives.
n
- Drive process improvements and help upskill team members.
n

About You nn
- Strong experience in FP&A;, commercial analysis, and stakeholder partnering.
n
- Hands‑on exposure to month‑end accounting and reconciliations.
n
- Advanced Excel skills (VBA, Power BI highly regarded).
n
- ERP experience (SAP or similar).
n
- Manufacturing or engineering industry experience preferred.
n
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build credibility quickly.
n
