We are now looking for a Head of Marketing & Growth to take full ownership of the marketing function and help build the next chapter of Smart Energy Answers.
The Opportunity n
This is not a traditional Marketing Manager role.
n
We are looking for a commercially minded marketing leader who can take ownership of our entire marketing ecosystem—from strategy through to execution—and build a high-performance marketing function that drives measurable growth.
n
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead internal marketing resources, specialist agencies and external partners across:
n

- Performance marketing and customer acquisition
n
- Residential lead generation
n
- Commercial/B2B marketing
n
- Brand and positioning
n
- Content and social media
n
- Website and conversion optimisation
n
- SEO and AEO / AI search
n
- CRM and marketing automation
n
- PR and media
n
- Strategic partnerships
n
- Events
n
- Customer lifecycle marketing
n
- Marketing analytics and attribution
n
- AI-enabled marketing and automation
n
n
You will become the central owner of marketing performance across the organisation.
What You’ll Own n
You will be responsible for developing and executing SEA’s marketing strategy and ensuring all channels, agencies and internal resources work toward common commercial objectives.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Build and own the annual and quarterly marketing strategy
n
- Lead residential customer acquisition and lead-generation performance
n
- Develop a scalable marketing engine for SEA Commercial
n
- Manage paid media, SEO, content, social, email and digital campaigns
n
- Take ownership of website strategy, CRO and lead-generation performance
n
- Lead SEO, AEO and emerging AI search strategies
n
- Manage HubSpot marketing, automation, segmentation and attribution
n
- Lead and develop internal marketing team members
n
- Manage and hold external agencies accountable for performance
n
- Coordinate PR, media, strategic partnerships and events
n
- Develop customer case studies, thought leadership and lead magnets
n
- Build SEA’s brand authority across residential and commercial markets
n
- Support the growth of the CEO’s industry thought-leadership platform
n
- Introduce AI and automation to improve marketing productivity and effectiveness
n
- Establish clear dashboards and reporting around ROI, CAC, CPL, conversion and marketing-sourced revenue
n

- A dedicated growth engine for the Commercial division

- Consistent content and campaign execution

- Stronger coordination between marketing and sales

- Agencies managed through clear KPIs and accountability

- Effective use of HubSpot, automation and AI
n
- Strong brand authority and market positioning
n
- A marketing function capable of operating independently with clear accountability
n
About You n
You are a commercially focused marketer who understands that marketing is ultimately about generating profitable growth.
n
You combine strategic thinking with the ability to execute.
n
You are comfortable discussing brand positioning in one meeting and analysing lead conversion, campaign performance and CRM attribution in the next.
n
You are proactive, highly accountable and naturally investigate problems rather than waiting for answers.
n
You are also comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment where priorities move quickly and opportunities need to be acted on.
What We’re Looking For n
Ideally, you will bring:
n
n
- 7+ years of marketing experience
n
- Senior marketing leadership experience
n
- Strong digital and performance marketing capability
n
- Experience managing agencies and external partners
n
- Proven lead-generation experience
n
- Strong understanding of paid media, SEO, content and conversion optimisation
n
- Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms
n
- Strong analytical and commercial capability
n
- Experience managing meaningful marketing budgets
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
n
- Experience leading and developing marketing teams
n
- Practical experience using AI and automation in marketing
n
n
Experience in solar, renewable energy, home improvement, technology, automotive, telecommunications, SaaS or another high-value lead-generation environment would be highly regarded.
n
Direct solar experience is not essential.

Remuneration n
$120,000–$150,000 + Super + Up to $40,000 Annual Performance Bonus
n
The final package will depend on experience and demonstrated capability.
n
The performance bonus will be linked to measurable commercial outcomes including marketing performance, customer acquisition, pipeline generation, strategic execution and overall growth.
n
