Production Manager - Switchboard Manufacturing n

Aline Group Australia is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our switchboard manufacturing floor.

This is a floor-based leadership role , responsible for actively managing production teams, monitoring work in progress and ensuring switchboard projects are manufactured safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within required deadlines.

About the Role n

Aline Group Australia is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our switchboard manufacturing floor.

This is a floor-based leadership role , responsible for actively managing production teams, monitoring work in progress and ensuring switchboard projects are manufactured safely, efficiently, to a high standard and within required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Be actively present on the factory floor managing daily production.
n
- Direct and coordinate Leading Hands, electricians, fitters, control wirers, apprentices and production staff.
n
- Allocate labour and daily tasks across projects and work areas.
n
- Monitor progress throughout the day and ensure production targets are being achieved.
n
- Regularly inspect work in progress for quality and workmanship.
n
- Ensure teams are working from the correct drawings and information.
n
- Identify production issues, bottlenecks and delays and take immediate action to resolve them.
n
- Work closely with Project Managers to understand priorities and upcoming deadlines.
n
- Ensure materials,



components, drawings and equipment are available when required.
n
- Coordinate boards through assembly, wiring, QA, testing and completion.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised, safe and productive factory floor.
n
- Mentor and support Leading Hands and production staff.
n
- Drive accountability, productivity and continuous improvement across the factory.

Skills & Experience nn
- Experience supervising or managing teams within switchboard manufacturing, electrical manufacturing or a similar environment.
n
- Robust hands-on understanding of electrical and manufacturing processes.
n
- Ability to read and understand electrical and manufacturing drawings.
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
n
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
n
- Strong focus on workmanship, productivity and meeting deadlines.
n
- Ability to identify problems quickly and make practical decisions on the factory floor.
n
- Experience within LV switchboard manufacturing and electrical production will be highly regarded.
n

We are looking for someone who wants to lead from the factory floor, not from an office .

The successful candidate will be highly visible within production, understand what each team is working on, keep projects moving and step in to resolve issues as they arise.

n

This role requires someone who can lead people, maintain high standards and take ownership of the daily performance of the factory.
