Solution Architect and Development Manager n

This is a unique chance to take the lead on technology architecture, software development and digital transformation at Centurion.

n

We're looking for an experienced Solution Architect & Development Manager to lead our Software Development and QA team while shaping the architecture and technology roadmap for our core business systems.

n

You'll combine people leadership with hands-on technical leadership, working across architecture, application development, integrations, Azure and emerging technologies.

n

You'll have genuine influence over how we build, integrate and modernise technology across a growing national logistics business.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Lead, mentor and develop our Software Development team, building capability and succession planning.
n
- Provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle.
n
- Own and evolve the architecture of Centurion's internally developed core systems.
n
- Design scalable, secure and supportable solutions aligned to our technology strategy.
n
- Lead third-party system integrations across APIs, messaging, events, batch and data integration.
n
- Drive the development of a modern technology stack across Angular, .NET and REST APIs.
n
- Lead Microsoft Azure solution design and cloud-readiness initiatives.
n
- Establish modern engineering standards across development, testing, CI/CD, environments and releases.
n
- Identify opportunities to simplify our technology landscape and progressively retire legacy systems.
n
- Partner with Product Owners, business leaders,



cybersecurity, infrastructure, data and project teams.
n
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, architecture decisions and delivery plans.
n
- Lead vendors and technology partners where required.
n
- Drive application performance, reliability, observability and disaster recovery.
n
- Embed secure-by-design practices across our development and technology environment.
n
- Explore emerging technologies, including AI and agentic solutions, and identify practical opportunities for the business.

What You'll Bring

n

You're a senior technology professional who enjoys solving complex problems, leading people and turning business requirements into practical technology solutions.

n

You'll ideally bring:

n

n
- 10+ years' experience in software engineering, solution architecture or enterprise application delivery.
n
- Proven technical leadership and people management experience.
n
- Strong knowledge of Agile software development and modern DevOps practices.
n
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, C#, .NET, Angular, REST APIs and SQL Server.
n
- Experience with Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
n
- Strong understanding of application architecture and system integration.
n




- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
n
- Experience establishing engineering standards and development practices.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
n
- Experience with transport, logistics, supply chain or other operationally critical systems is highly regarded.
n
- Experience migrating on-premise environments to Microsoft Azure is highly desirable.
