About the role n
This role will collaborate closely with Planners, the Major Projects Team, the Operational team at Riverstone, and a range of external stakeholders to ensure optimal operational performance and Resource Recovery throughout the lifecycle of capital projects - from concept to handover. You will provide high-level technical input during option analysis, the design phase, business case reviews (e.g., NABC, OABC, DABC), and commissioning. A major focus of the role will ensure strong adherence to safety in design principles.

- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are fit for purpose across all phases—planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
n
- Support capital and growth projects with technical input and ensure alignment with Sydney Water standards.
n
- Lead resolution of complex technical and process issues, contribute to product quality and specification development, and drive standardization through technical manuals and process descriptions.
n
- Provide input into research, development, and pilot trials of new technologies and instrumentation.
n
- Ensure safety in design, construction, and commissioning, lead safety initiatives and investigations.
n
- Implement new systems including instrumentation, control upgrades, and process modelling.
n
About you n
In addition to a degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical, Process or Mechanical Engineering you will also:
n
n
- Have at least 8 years demonstrated experience in design, operation and optimisation of plant.
n
- Water / waste water industry knowledge and experience
n
- Strong technical report writing and analytical skills
n
- Demonstrated skills in technical report writing, data analysis
n
- Stakeholder management skills in a team environment working across varying levels.
n
- Detailed knowledge of product guidelines and quality management systems (Recycled Water, and Drinking Water, Wastewater and/or Resource Recovery)
n
- Experience with Microsoft Office application and ability to use customized software packages,
n
- Experience with SCADA is advantageous
n
