About the Role n

All Time Care Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Disability Support Worker / Personal Care Assistant to join our team on a casual basis .

n

We currently have consistent shifts available supporting two participants across Melbourne's northern suburbs:

n

n
- Primary Support (Campbellfield / Roxburgh Park): In-home personal care and physical support for a non-verbal male participant who uses a wheelchair.
n
- Secondary Support (Surrounding Northern Suburbs): One-on-one community and in-home support for a participant living with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and psychosocial disability .
n

Key Responsibilities Participant 1 (Male Participant – Complex Physical Support): n

n
- Personal Care: Full assistance with morning and bedtime routines, including showering, grooming, hygiene, and dressing.
n
- Catheter Care: Routine indwelling/suprapubic catheter bag emptying and hygiene maintenance (morning and nighttime changes).
n
- Medication Assistance: Prompting and administering prescribed medications safely according to care plans.
n
- Mobility & Transfers: Safe transfers to and from bed/chair and operating a manual wheelchair.
n
- Non-Verbal Communication: Attentive, empathetic engagement supporting a participant who does not use augmentative communication devices (attuned to non-verbal cues, facial expressions, and body language).
n
- Mealtime Support: Preparation and protected feeding assistance.
n





Participant 2 (Psychosocial & OCD Support): n

n
- Providing calm, non-judgmental companionship and emotional support.
n
- Supporting daily living skills, routine maintenance, and community access while respecting specific OCD care strategies and boundaries.
n

What We Are Looking For nn
- Proven experience supporting individuals with complex physical disabilities and psychosocial conditions .
n
- Practical competence in catheter hygiene/management and medication administration .
n
- Confidence in safe manual handling, hoist use (if required), and wheelchair transfers.
n
- High level of patience, active listening, and sensitivity to non-verbal communication cues.
n
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to keep clear, accurate shift notes.
n

Essential Requirements nn
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
n
- Working with Children Check (Employee)
n
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & HLTAID009 Provide CPR
n
- Medication Administration Certificate (or demonstrated competency)
n
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
n
- Full Australian working rights
n

Desirable Experience nn
- Previous training or certification in catheter care and bowel management.
n
- Experience supporting participants with OCD, anxiety, or psychosocial disability.
n
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care.
n
