Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to support and enhance a Snowflake-based Data Platform hosted on AWS . The ideal candidate will have experience in data engineering, platform support, and cloud-based data solutions, with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, dbt, Data modelling, and AWS services . The role will involve managing data platform operations, supporting project delivery, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvements across the data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities n

- Support the delivery, maintenance, and enhancement of Snowflake-based data solutions on AWS.
n
- Monitor and manage Snowflake environments, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability.
n
- Develop, maintain, and support dbt transformations and data models.
n
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver data platform initiatives.
n
- Troubleshoot data pipeline, integration, and platform issues, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
n
- Implement platform monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization recommendations.
n




- Assist with production deployments, release management, and setting support activities.
n
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and project artifacts.
n

Required Skills nn
- Experience working with Snowflake Data Cloud in an AWS environment.
n
- Strong understanding of AWS services including:
n
- Amazon S3
n
- IAM
n
- CloudWatch
n
- Lambda
n
- SNS/SQS (preferred)
n
- Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
n
- Strong SQL and data warehousing knowledge.
n
- Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-based data platforms.
n
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
n
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
n

Preferred Skills nn
- Snowflake and/or AWS certifications.
n
- Experience with Python scripting and automation.
n
- Exposure to Terraform, DataOps, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
n
