APS5/6 equivalent– Qualitative Data Analyst n
DFP Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a Federal Government client for several Qualitative Data Analyst opportunities. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will undertake qualitative research and analysis activities that contribute to informed policy, program, and service delivery outcomes.
About the Role n
As a Qualitative Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting public consultation activities and analysing feedback from a range of sources. You will be responsible for identifying themes, synthesising findings, and producing high-quality reports to inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities n

- Conduct qualitative analysis of structured and unstructured data.
n
- Code and categorise qualitative data to identify key themes and trends.
n
- Transcribe and validate audio and video submissions.
n
- Import, organise, and manage data within analysis tools and databases.
n
- Prepare reports, presentations, and data visualisations to communicate findings.
n
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure consistent and rigorous analysis.
n
- Assist with consultation activities, research projects, and related deliverables.
n
- Support the preparation of research materials and stakeholder communications.
n

About You n
To be successful, you will have:
n

- Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative research and analysis.
n
- Experience using qualitative analysis software such as NVivo or similar tools.
n
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
n
- Experience preparing reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
n
- Previous experience in research, policy, health, social services, or government environments will be highly regarded.
n
What's on Offer n
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure an APS5/APS6 equivalent contract, offering $58 - $75 per hour + Superannuation, with an initial 6-month engagement and the potential for extension of up to 18 months. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful research and consultation activities within a Federal Government workplace while working alongside a supportive and collaborative team. An immediate start is available for suitable candidates. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
