The Opportunity
Reporting to the Activity Centre and Economic Development Coordinator, you willplay a key role in shaping the future of community infrastructure across MooneeValley through strategic planning, evidence-based analysis and collaborativeproject delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner who enjoys solvingcomplex challenges, working across diverse stakeholders and influencinglong-term investment in community facilities.
- Undertake community infrastructure planning and needs analysis to informfuture community facility provision.
- Develop evidence-based business cases and identify innovative solutions forcommunity infrastructure projects.
- Maintain and analyse data to support strategic planning, asset management andinvestment decisions.
- Provide specialist advice on community infrastructure planning acrossCouncil.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders,government agencies, service providers and the community.
- Coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of community facilities to informrenewal, upgrade and future planning.
- Supervise and support the Community Infrastructure Planner.
Skills & Experience
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Strategic Planning, Social Sciencesor a related discipline, or extensive experience in community infrastructureplanning.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic community infrastructure planning,policy development and needs analysis.
- Experience developing business cases and delivering complex projects.
- Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of asset management principles and community infrastructureplanning within a local government environment is highly regarded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and needs analysis for community infrastructure to inform future facility provision and investment. Develop evidence-based business cases and coordinate the monitoring and evaluation of community facilities.
