Project Manager | Retail, Education & Government Projects to $30M Project Manager – Commercial Construction | Up to $230K + Super The Opportunity n

An opportunity has become available for an accomplished Project Manager to join a highly regarded Brisbane commercial builder with an impressive leadership team, strong project pipeline and sophisticated approach to project delivery.

Operating across commercial, industrial and education projects, the business delivers projects generally in the $5M–$30M range and has established an excellent reputation for quality, professionalism and repeat-client relationships.

n

Offering a salary of up to $230K + Super, the successful candidate will take responsibility for two live projects, each supported by well-resourced project and site teams. This is a genuine leadership position requiring someone capable of maintaining commercial oversight across multiple projects while empowering the teams underneath them to deliver.

The Role n

Working closely with the senior leadership team, responsibilities will include:

- Overall responsibility for two concurrent live projects
n
- Leadership and mentoring of two well-resourced project teams
n
- Commercial management including budgets, forecasting, procurement, variations and cost reporting
n
- Oversight of head contract and subcontract administration
n
- Programme, risk, quality and overall project performance
n
- Maintaining robust relationships with clients, consultants and key subcontractors
n
- Identifying commercial and delivery risks early and implementing solutions
n
- Supporting and developing CAs, Project Engineers and wider project teams




n
- Providing accurate project reporting to senior management
n
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the expected quality standard
n

About You n

This position will suit an established Project Manager currently working for a Tier 2 or strong Tier 3 principal building contractor in Queensland.

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Project Manager
n
- Proven delivery of comparable commercial, industrial and/or education projects in Queensland
n
- Bachelor of Construction Management or similar relevant degree
n
- Strong understanding of upstream and downstream commercial management
n
- Superior commercial acumen with the ability to maintain control across multiple projects
n
- Proven ability to lead and develop project teams
n
- Solid client and consultant management skills
n
- Natural leadership qualities with a calm, accountable and collaborative management style
n
