Friendly Grocer Scarborough Beach is looking for an experienced and reliable Cook / Chef to join our team.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a cook or chef. Experience in a bakery would be a bonus, although our bakery range is straightforward and training can be provided.
What the role involves: n

- Baking bread and sweet treats, including cinnamon rolls and Vegemite scrolls
n
- Preparing ready-made meals such as lasagnes, butter chicken and other meal options
n
- Making fresh salads and sandwiches
n
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation
n
- Following all food safety,
hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
n
- Keeping the kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
n
What we are looking for: nn
- Previous experience as a cook or chef
n
- Food preparation and cooking skills
n
- A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene
n
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
n
- A positive attitude and pride in the quality of work
n
- Bakery experience is highly regarded but not essential
n
