Responsibilities n

- Lead second-line oversight of operational and non-financial risk across a designated portfolio.
n
- Provide independent challenge on risk assessments, controls, risk appetite and framework effectiveness.
n
- Identify material risks, control weaknesses and emerging themes across end-to-end value chains.
n
- Challenge remediation plans and monitor whether risk outcomes are sustainably improved.
n
- Provide clear, commercially grounded risk advice to senior leaders and governance forums.
n
- Lead and develop risk capability while promoting strong risk culture and sound judgement.

What You’ll Need to Succeed nn
- 15+ years’ experience in financial services with a strong track record in operational and non-financial risk.
n
- Proven Line 2 risk management experience within the retail banking/financial services space.
n
- Strong operational and non-financial risk expertise, with an understanding of end-to-end value chains.
n
- Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge Line 1 and influence senior stakeholders.
n
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex risk issues into explicit, practical advice.
n
- Executive-level communication skills and experience operating within senior governance forums.
