NORTHSIX is partnering with an established business that supplies into the construction industry, with a strong focus on commercial projects. This is a key role in a growing business, suited to a finance professional who enjoys owning the full finance function

The Role n

Reporting to the Director, you will run the day-to-day finance function and provide clear, accurate financial reporting across the business and its projects.

- Prepare and lodge BAS and manage tax obligations
n
- Lead end-of-month close-outs and reporting
n
- Produce project financial reporting using Procore
n
- Manage accounts and reconciliations in Xero, including cross-referencing statements
n
- Oversee payroll for a team of 43 staff, ensuring compliance with EBA conditions (payroll processing sits with another team member)
n
- Work with project managers and leadership to keep project costs and cash flow on track
n
- Identify and implement automation across finance processes, including the use of AI tools
n
- General finance management duties as the business grows
n

About You nn




- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
n
- Construction industry experience will be highly regarded
n
- Strong working knowledge of Xero. Procore experience is a bonus
n
- Solid understanding of BAS, tax, month end processes and project reporting
n
- Experience overseeing payroll under EBA conditions
n
- Confident using AI tools such as Claude to automate processes, or keen to learn
n
- Builds strong working relationships with project teams, suppliers and leadership, and communicates financial information clearly to people outside finance
n
- Accurate, organised and able to work autonomously
n

- $120,000 to $140,000 plus super

- Hybrid working, with three days in the Moorabbin office and two from home once onboarding is complete.
