Elderly Care is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in our Cypress Gardens Aged Care facility. This Part-time role is responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our elderly residents in a caring and professional environment.
Key responsibilities n
n
- Preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including special dietary requirements, for our elderly residents
n
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation
n
- Ordering and managing kitchen supplies and stock
n
- Collaborating with the care team to understand resident dietary needs and preferences
n
- Mentoring and supervising kitchen staff
n
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
n
- Assisting Chef Manager in delivering quality meals to residents
n
About you n
At least 3 years' experience as a Chef, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
n
Current Food Safety Certificate and Cert II or III in Cookery
n
Solid culinary skills and knowledge of nutritious meal preparation
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the care team
n
Good organisational and time management abilities
n
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
n
Passion for providing high-quality dining experiences for the elderly
n
