We are looking for a Senior Azure Synapse Engineer to join an enterprise data engineering team delivering large-scale data solutions in a regulated environment. The role will involve hands‑on engineering across the Azure data platform, while also contributing to solution design, technical direction, and mentoring of junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities n

- Design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise data solutions using Azure data platform technologies.

- Work extensively with Azure Synapse Analytics, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
n
- Contribute to solution architecture and influence technical decisions across data engineering initiatives.
n
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and engineering solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
n
- Implement and support CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering workloads.
n
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Platform, Business, and Delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
n
- Ensure solutions meet the required standards for security, scalability, reliability, and governance, particularly within regulated environments.

Key Requirements nn
- 10+ years of overall software/data engineering experience.
n
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud data platforms.
n
- Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, and ADLS.
n
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles, scalable data solutions, and enterprise data platforms.
n
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD and Azure DevOps practices.
n
- Experience delivering solutions within large‑scale or regulated enterprise environments.
n
- Ability to contribute to solution design and technical direction.
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
