Job Description Position Title: Overview n

We are seeking an experienced SeniorIntegration Specialist with deep expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) to lead the design, development,and governance of integration solutions across a complex Government ICTenvironment.
n This role is critical in supporting digital transformation, ensuringinteroperability between legacy and contemporary systems, and enabling secure,reliable, and standards‑compliant data exchange across Government platforms.

n

The ideal candidate has extensiveexperience operating in high‑compliance, audit‑driven, secure environments ,and can confidently guide technical decisions, mentor junior staff, and engagewith business and architecture teams.

n

- Lead end‑to‑end solution design for complex integrationrequirements across Government systems.

n
- Provide expert guidance on integration patterns, messagingstrategies, security models, and architectural standards.

n
- Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Cyber Security,



andInfrastructure teams to ensure whole‑of‑government alignment.

n

Integration Development & Delivery nn
- Design and develop high‑quality message flows using IBMACE/IIB, including ESQL, Java compute, MQ, HTTP, REST/SOAP, andtransformation nodes.

n
- Implement robust integration solutions aligning with Governmentdata standards, API frameworks, information classification, and complianceobligations.

n
- Develop reusable subflows, shared libraries, patterns, andintegration templates to uplift team capability and streamline delivery.

n

Security, Compliance & Governance nn
- Ensure all integration solutions adhere to Government policyframeworks including:

n
- Cyber Security Policy (CSP)

n
- Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

n
- Information Security Manual (ISM)

n
- Records & Data Management standards

n
- Implement secure patterns including TLS, mTLS, OAuth2, JWT,client certificates, message encryption, and secure MQ channels.

n
- Maintain auditability, traceability, and compliance withretention and logging requirements.

n

Operational Excellence & Support nn
- Lead root‑cause analysis for complex incidents, providepermanent fixes, and optimise flow performance.

n
- Provide technical leadership for release planning, deploymentautomation, CI/CD pipelines,



and environment configuration.

n

Collaboration & StakeholderManagement n

n
- Work with business units, project teams, and service providersto translate requirements into integration solutions.

n
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technicalstakeholders across Government agencies.

n

Technical Expertise nn
- 7–10+ years’ experience in IBM IIB and/or IBM AppConnect Enterprise (ACE) .

n
- Advanced ESQL, message modeling, XSD, JSON schema, XML/XSLT.

n
- Strong experience integrating with:

n
- Secure APIs (REST/SOAP)

n
- On‑prem and cloud systems (AWS/Azure/GovCloud)

n
- Experience with CI/CD tools used in Government (Azure DevOps,Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise).

n
- Familiarity with API Gateways (IBM API Connect, Kong, Apigee).

n
- Familiarity with Kubernetes.

n

- Demonstrated experience working in high‑security, regulatedenvironments .

n
- Strong understanding of identity management, secrets,certificates, and secure channels.

n

Soft Skills nn
