Seafood Retail & Preparation Team Member - Part-Time n

Working closely with the fish cutter, sales team and management, you will help ensure seafood displays are beautifully presented, fully stocked and ready for customers throughout the day. This is a diverse, hands-on role combining seafood preparation, shopfront presentation, stock management and customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Setting up and maintaining seafood displays to a high standard
n
- Cutting and portioning fish for retail sale and display
n
- Scaling and cleaning whole fish when required
n
- Preparing sashimi for the front window
n
- Ensuring sufficient prepared seafood is available for the sales team throughout the day
n
- Monitoring stock levels, including fish, lobsters, mud crabs and other seafood
n
- Rotating stock and maintaining excellent product quality and freshness
n
- Preparing seafood raffle trays for local clubs and customers
n
- Preparing scheduled orders for retirement homes, caravan parks and other account customers
n
- Monitoring and ordering packaging supplies
n

About you

- Passionate about fresh, high-quality seafood and produce
n
- Friendly, approachable and confident interacting with customers
n
- Enthusiastic and willing to get involved wherever needed
n
- Experienced in seafood handling, fish preparation or a similar fresh-food environment
n
- Confident with fish cutting, portioning, scaling and cleaning, or willing and able to develop these skills
n
- Particular about presentation and maintaining a clean, attractive shopfront
n
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
n
- Comfortable working with knives and seafood preparation equipment
n
- Knowledgeable about food safety, hygiene and safe handling practices
n
- Hold a valid Australian visa with unrestricted working rights
n
