About the opportunity

Medstar Nursing Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) and Enrolled Nurses (EN) for residential aged care shifts across Sydney and New South Wales.

n

This role requires current AHPRA registration as an RN or EN.

n

You will deliver safe, compassionate, person-centred care that supports residents' dignity, independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities (within your scope of practice) n

n
- n

Assess residents' clinical needs and help develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans

n
- n

Administer medications safely and monitor their effectiveness

n
- n

Conduct clinical assessments, monitor vital signs and report changes in residents' conditions

n
- n

Identify and respond to clinical deterioration

n
- n

Provide wound care, catheter management and other clinical procedures as required

n
- n

Keep accurate, timely clinical notes and resident records

n
- n

Work with doctors, allied health professionals and the wider care team

n
- n





Support and supervise personal care workers (RNs also oversee ENs as required)

n
- n

Follow infection prevention and control procedures

n
- n

Deliver care in line with facility policies, professional standards and the Aged Care Quality Standards

n

Requirements nn
- n

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) – essential

n
- n

At least 6 months' experience as an RN or EN in residential aged care

n
- n

Current National Police Check

n
- n

Current CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain one before starting

n
- n

Current influenza and COVID-19 vaccination records

n
- n

Full Australian working rights

n
- n

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

n
- n

Availability for flexible shifts

n
- n

Experience with electronic clinical documentation or aged care systems (preferred)

n
