The Opportunity n
Agilex is growing and we're seeking applications for a permanent, full-time Laboratory Support Officer to join our Immunobiology (IB) Network team based at the Royal North Shore Health Hub in St Leonards, NSW.
n
Our IB Network team focus on science in new drug modalities such as cell therapies (CAR-T and CAR-NK), gene therapies and cellular/RNA modulator therapies that typically utilise Flow Cytometry assays in order to deliver the Pharmacokinetic (PK) data to support clinical studies.
What You’ll Do n
In this hands-on role, you will provide critical support in the validation and sample analysis of clinical and pre-clinical samples in a highly regulated lab environment. Reporting to the Analytical Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

General laboratory and laboratory equipment maintenance in accordance with SOPs and quality systems
n
General laboratory housekeeping ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy to maintain a protected working environment
n
Managing and maintaining consumables laboratory stock and waste as directed
n
Maintenance of stock and inventory levels in accordance with pre-defined volumes
n
Quality Control support
n
Coordination of sample receipt and shipment
n
Executing basic analytical methods (e.g., isolation of cells, stimulations etc.), as required
n
Assist laboratory staff with day-to-day tasks including preparation of general reagents, labelling and pooling/collection/aliquoting for control matrices
n
You’re organised, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced lab environment. You’ll bring:

A Degree in life sciences or equivalent (desirable)
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Great time management, planning and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
n
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
n
A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and in a team
