Skilled Care is looking for one caring and reliable person based in Narrabri, Moree or the surrounding area to join a paid Home Care Support Worker traineeship.
n
This is a permanent part-time role with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week, combined with paid training towards your Certificate III in Individual Support.
n
No previous aged care experience is required.
What You’ll Receive n

- $34.42 per hour plus super

- Guaranteed minimum 15 hours per week

- 3 hours of paid live online training each week
n
- Complete your Certificate III in Individual Support while you work
n
- Travel time between clients paid at your hourly rate

- Kilometre allowance for work‑related travel

- Practical experience and support while you build your skills and confidence

You’ll be earning an income, gaining practical experience and working towards a nationally recognised qualification at the same time.
About the Role n
As a Home Care Support Worker Trainee, you’ll help older people continue living safely and independently in their own homes.
Your day may include: n
n
- Providing companionship and social support
n
- Helping with everyday household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry and light cleaning
n
- Supporting clients with shopping, appointments and errands
n
- Assisting clients to remain connected with their local community
n
- Providing friendly conversation and emotional support
n
- Learning practical care skills with guidance from experienced team members
n
Travel Is an Important Part of This Role n
This is a community‑based position supporting clients across the Tweed Heads area, so you’ll need to be comfortable driving between clients and communities as required.
n
Travel time between clients is paid at your normal hourly rate, and you will also receive a kilometre allowance for work‑related travel.
n
For this reason, you’ll need your own reliable car, a valid driver’s licence and a willingness to travel as part of your working day.

What You’ll Need nn
- Your own reliable vehicle
n
- A valid driver’s licence
n
- Willingness and ability to travel across the local service area
n
- Willingness to obtain the required Police Check and worker screening checks
n
- Ability to meet the eligibility requirements of the traineeship
n
Your Training n
You’ll work towards your Certificate III in Individual Support alongside your employment.
n
You’ll receive 3 hours of paid, live online training each week, giving you dedicated time to learn, ask questions and develop your skills while putting what you learn into practice on the job.
n
You don’t need an aged care background to apply.
