They are currently looking to hire a senior in-house lawyer to work within their impressive legal team across Australia.

n

In-House Team

n

The in-house legal team provides vital legal advice to the business, including across the whole property development process.

n

The Team is led by a highly respected General Counsel and consists of a number of other lawyers and support staff.

n

Position Description

n

As a corporate counsel in this close-knit team, your role will be broad, and involve working closely on projects from development all the way through to delivery. It will also include being involved in post-delivery issues including defects litigation.

n

You will work on commercial, retail and residential transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, leasing, property development and project management.

n

Your role will include:

n

n
- Assisting with acquisitions, joint ventures and disposals.
n
- Reviewing and negotiating construction, consultancy, supply and property management agreements.
n
- Reviewing commercial and retail leases.
n
- Liaising with internal and external advisers with respect to taxation, FIRB, insurance and other regulatory and corporate matters.
n
- Assisting with post-completion issues and disputes.
n
- Advising on legal issues within marketing.
n
- Working closely with panel firms to provide legal advice to the business.
n

n

Requirements

n

To succeed in this role, you will have at least 8 years’ experience inproperty development projects, gained in a leading law firm, with ideally some in-house experience.

n

In addition, you will have:

n

n
- strong communication and organisational skills
n
- ability to deal with a range of stakeholders
n
- a positive and 'can do' attitude.
n
