1816 Bakehouse is looking for a Pastry Chef to join a small, passionate team driven by a love of real ingredients, slow methods, and the craft of baking done properly. You'll be someone who loves making things by hand and takes pride in the details that make great food memorable.

Key responsibilities n

Creating artisan pastries, tarts and cakes that showcase skill and seasonality

n

Assisting with the growing range of sandwiches and savoury items

n

Helping shape and refine the menu with fresh ideas

n

Working alongside bakers and café team to keep quality high and consistent

n

Keeping your space clean, organized and calm

n

High quality ingredients and Pepe Saya for dough roll outs

About you n

Experience in a bakery or patisserie environment

n

Solid pastry and cake-making skills

n

A good eye for finish and presentation

n





A genuine love of local produce and handcrafted food

n

A team mindset and pitch in where needed

n

A creative, supportive environment built on respect and passion for the craft

Daytime hours (no late nights)
