The role

n
n

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed design and FEA analysis of rotating and vibrating equipment. The role is required to analyse difficult, and occasionally complex, engineering problems.

n

Responsibilities also include directing efforts of other Engineers, Designers and Drafters. This role will support the design, engineering and delivery of new and complex product design projects.

nJob Responsibilities n

n
- Interpret, organise, execute, and coordinate design engineering assignments involving unique and complex problems ensuring compliance to Local Legislation and Regional Industry Standards.
n
- Contribute to the development of design standards/guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures in line with to Local Legislation and Regional Industry Standards.
n
- Plan, organise and supervise engineering activities for major projects
n
- Represent respective product line/projects at meetings and conferences.
n
- Prepare patents and technical papers to be presented at conferences or for technical publications.
n




- Participates in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
n
- Analyses complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
n
- Review and approve design drawings.
n
- Review customer specifications.
n
- Participates actively in team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
n
- Accept accountability for both individual and team performance.
n
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety.
n
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by your supervisor.
n

nWhat you bring n

n
- Mechanical Engineering qualification with 5+ years' experience in a similar role.
n
- Ability to analyse and solve complex engineering problems through the application of advanced knowledge.
n
- Experience in the vibration analysis of equipment using first principles and FEA methods.
n
- Experienced in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
n
- Proficient in the use of ANSYS and SolidWorks is preferred
n
