We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Meteorologist to join our operational weather forecasting team.
Key responsibilities n
Produce marine and aviation weather forecasts
n
Monitor tropical cyclone developments and issue tropical cyclone alerts and warnings
n
Monitor for severe weather events and issue alerts and warnings
n
Deliver weather briefings to clients
n
Forecasting shift work to support Company's 24/7 operations
n
On site weather forecasting duties at remote offshore locations
n
Liaise with Clients' operations personnel
About you n
Formal qualifications in Meteorology (degree or diploma)
n
WMO accredited training / qualification
n
Minimum eight years practical weather forecasting experience in Asia Pacific
n
Preference given to experience in marine and tropical meteorology
n
Prospect to work with a specialised marine forecasting team supporting major offshore project
n
Professional development in advanced weather forecasting, numerical weather modelling, and AI-supported weather forecasting system
