We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers with specific experience in Complex Behaviors or High-Intensity Clinical Complex Care to join our growing team in Western Sydney.

n

The majority of our participants rely on Drop-in Support and Assistance with Daily Living to maintain their independence. Our goal is to provide tailored, day-to-day assistance, ranging from getting them out of bed and ready for the day, household tasks to community access-empowering participants to lead fulfilling, autonomous lives.

At Therapy Care, we serve communities throughout Western Sydney, focusing primarily on the Penrith - Blacktown and Bankstown regions (including surrounding areas within a 30-minute drive). To ensure seamless support for our clients, our team members are expected to work flexibly across these coverage zones.

The Role n

In line withTheNDIS Choice and Control, our participants look for consistency and relationships, so building rapport is essential to the role.

- Shift Structure : Initial shift typically 2–4 hours. This allows you to build a genuine relationship and reputation with participants.
n
- Multiple participants in the area that would benefit from your support.
n
- Growth : As you establish trust, there is significant chance to fill your schedule with multiple shifts throughout the day with shifts varying in times between 6am to 10pm.
n
- Environment:



Support ranges from 2:1 behavioral shift to 1:1 personal care in private homes, community access, day programs, transport services, or SIL environments.
n
- Rate: L2 P1 - $45.28 Cert 3 in individual supports or community service
n
- L2 P2 - $46.70 Cert 4 or higher in individual supports or community service
n

Requirements & Experienceincludes but is not limited to nn
- Expertise working with participants with extreme behaviors like schizophrenia.
n
- Experience with Daily Personal Care and Daily Living Support Activities.
n
- Meal preparation that aligns with special dietary needs (diabetic, low sodium, high protein, sauce based).
n
- Competency in manual handling, including the use of slings and hoists.
n
- Experience administering medication using a plan, webster pack, crushing etc.
n
- Experience using slip sheets, hoists, slings, wheelchairs, etc. for transfers of participants with extreme impairments.
n
- Strong emotional resilience and de-escalation skills.
n
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation, risk assessments, and reporting.
n
- Ability to communicate with participants where they may be limited in ability.
n
- Time Management & Organization.
n
- Working Independently, Under Pressure and strong understanding of reporting guidelines.
n
- Engaged clients in physical and cognitive activities to promote wellbeing.
n

Mandatory Criteria nn
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support or Disability.
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check & 4 x NDIS Orientation Modules.
n
- WWC – Paid employee check.
n
- Safety: Current First Aid & CPR certificates.
n
- Other inductions and training as required.
n
- Valid Driver’s License and an insured vehicle to assist participants with community access or to reach appointments is essential.
n
