Responsibilities n
n
- Produce complete solar design packages including panel layouts, SLDs, BOQs, and performance modeling
n
- Generate comprehensive Work Orders for installers including BOM, design guidelines and compliance with AS/NZS 3000, 5033, and 4777 standards
n
- Conduct system sizing, shading analysis, and ROI calculations based on customer consumption data
n
- Prepare documentation for grid approvals (Ausgrid, Endeavour and Essential Energy)
n
- Ensure accurate and complete supporting documentation for order processing
n
- Thoroughly prepare project documentation in coordination with all stakeholders
n
- Demonstrate independent problem-solving skills in client interactions
n
- Deliver high-level customer service and promptly address queries
n
- Provide technical advice to our representatives, coordinators, installers, and customer service team
n
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate sourcing of materials
n
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to incorporate into system designs
n
- Evaluate and optimise existing solar installations for improved performance and efficiency
n
- Assist in the development of proposals and technical presentations for client meetings
n
- Support the sales team by providing technical expertise during the sales process, including customer consultations, site assessments, and solution recommendations
n
- Assist in converting leads to sales by addressing technical queries and providing tailored system solutions
n
- Conduct customer needs analysis and recommend appropriate solar and battery systems based on energy consumption, site suitability, and budget requirements
n
- Identify opportunities to upsell battery storage, EV charging, monitoring solutions, and other value-added products
n
- Participate in customer meetings, webinars, trade events, and product training sessions as required
n
- Support achievement of sales targets and revenue objectives while maintaining high technical and compliance standards
n
Requirements nn
- 1+ year of experience in a similar role within the Solar Industry (residential preferred)
n
- SAA design accreditation for grid connected
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite/Office 365, AutoCAD (essential) and PVSyst
n
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and structural engineering principles as applied to solar energy systems
n
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and building codes related to solar installations
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
n
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a diverse team environment
n
- Dedication to achieving company and team objectives
n
- Ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplined, multi-skilled work environment as a collaborative team player
n
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- Driven to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients

- Previous design and operations support experience is desirable
