An established and rapidly expanding food manufacturing business is seeking a Dual Trade Fitter to join their team in Dandenong.

n

With major plant upgrades underway and continued growth across multiple Victorian locations, this is an excellent chance for a dual trade tradesperson looking for long-term stability and the opportunity to work across both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

n

This role will be hands-on, covering preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, installation, commissioning and upgrades across a modern production environment.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Preventative and reactive maintenance across production and processing equipment
n
- Mechanical fault finding and repairs across conveyors, packaging lines, motors and production machinery
n
- Electrical fault finding, testing and repairs
n




- Installation, commissioning and upgrading of plant and machinery
n
- Working across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
n
- Welding and fabrication work as required
n
- Interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and technical documentation
n
- Supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Working safely at heights when required
n
- Using maintenance management systems and basic computer applicationsEnsuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures
n

Skills & Experience nn
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting
n
- Electrical trade qualification / relevant electrical licence
n
- Previous experience in maintenance within food manufacturing or a similar production environment
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills
n
- Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
n
- Experience with conveyors, motors, packaging machinery and production equipment
n
- Welding and fabrication experience
n
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
n
- Comfortable working at heights
n
- Computer literacy and experience using maintenance systems
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
n
- Commitment to workplace safety
n
