Catalyst Air Group is a growing air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical services group operating across Queensland and Northern NSW.

Through our Deepchill and Thermalcarebusinesses, we are looking for an experienced Senior Dual Trade HVAC & Refrigeration Technician / Electrician to join our Gold Coast team.

This is more than a standard technician role. We are looking for someone with strong technical capability who can initially work across our established HVAC and refrigeration operations, while also helping us develop and grow our electrical service offering on the Gold Coast.

About the role

You will work across a mix of commercial and residential customers as an experienced Senior Dual Trade HVAC & Refrigeration Technician / Electrician. This role involves working across established HVAC and refrigeration operations, while helping develop and grow the electrical service offering on the Gold Coast.

Key responsibilities

- HVAC and refrigeration service, maintenance and repairs
- Electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repairs
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Breakdown response and technical troubleshooting
- Electrical works associated with HVAC installations and upgrades
- Testing, commissioning and compliance
- Providing technical support to other technicians
- Identifying electrical opportunities within existing customer base
- Assisting with quoting, scoping and delivery of electrical works
- Helping develop electrical capability, systems and service offering

About you

We are looking for an experienced tradesperson who wants the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the business develops.

You will ideally have:

- Current Refrigeration & Air Conditioning trade qualification
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Australian Driver Licence




- Current White Card
- Current Blue Card
- QBCC Occupational Licence
- Strong HVAC, refrigeration and electrical fault-finding capability
- Commercial service and maintenance experience
- Ability to scope and quote smaller electrical works
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs
- A strong focus on safety, workmanship and compliance
- Clean police check or ability to obtain one

Previous supervisory, leading hand or team leadership experience would be advantageous, however we are equally interested in experienced technicians who are ready to take the next step.
