Sapphire Coast Buslines is looking for a capable, organised person to join our Operations team at South Pambula.
This is a practical, hands-on dispatch role for someone who is confident with computers, enjoys logistics and is positive at putting the pieces together when plans change .
Every day involves coordinating drivers, vehicles, services and competing priorities. You’ll need to think on your feet, stay calm when things get busy and work through practical solutions to keep services moving.
Strong computer skills are our highest priority. You don’t need previous bus or transport industry experience, but you do need to be comfortable using a PC, learning new software and working across multiple systems.

Key responsibilities
- Monitor daily bus services and respond to operational issues
- Coordinate drivers, vehicles, service changes and competing priorities
- Work across multiple computer systems and maintain accurate operational information
- Support drivers with day-to-day enquiries and service information
- Coordinate vehicle swaps, roster adjustments and charter requirements
- Assist with incidents, disruptions and operational follow-up
- Work closely with Dispatch, Operations, Workshop and management
- Undertake relief bus driving when required
About you
You’ll suit this role if you:
- Are confident using computers and learning new software
- Enjoy logistics, coordination and practical problem-solving
- Can look at several moving parts and work out the best solution
- Think on your feet and adapt when circumstances change
- Stay calm and make sensible decisions under pressure
- Are organised with strong attention to detail
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Are reliable, take ownership and follow tasks through
- Are a genuine team player
Previous experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or scheduling would be well regarded, but is not essential.
Driving
An MR licence and NSW Driver Authority would be highly regarded.
If you already hold an MR licence but don’t yet have a Driver Authority, we can assist you to obtain one.
If you don’t currently hold the required driving qualifications, we are also prepared to train the right person, provided you are genuinely willing to learn to drive buses as part of the role.
Position details
- Permanent full-time
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Based at South Pambula
- $73,840 per annum
- Flexible commencement date
