Our client is a registered NDIS Disability Services provider based in Cranbourne. They are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability. With a robust focus on Supported Independent Living (SIL), SDA, and community-based supports, theychampion dignity, empowerment, and meaningful inclusion.
We are looking for an experienced People and Culture Officer to lead the recruitment efforts, manage onboarding, support audit readiness, maintain compliance with HR requirements, and help foster a positive, engaged workplace culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, from advertising to interviews and reference checks. Coordinate onboarding and induction for new employees.
- Maintain recruitment pipelines and HR records in line with compliance requirements.
- Monitor mandatory checks and support performance management processes.
- Assist in updating HR policies and procedures to reflect best practice
- Provide HR support to staff and leaders, fostering positive employee relations.
- Coordinate staff wellbeing initiatives and recognition programs.
- Ensure HR systems and processes are audit-ready and compliant with legislation.
- Previous HR or People & Culture experience, ideally in disability, health, or community services
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and compliance
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound understanding of Fair Work legislation and HR best practice
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Knowledge of NDIS sector, including worker screening and compliance standards (Highly desirable)
