Building Cadet – Kickstart Your Project Management Career

Location: South Coast, Berry

n

Full-Time – Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

$70,000–$90,000 + Super | Laptop, Phone, Uniform Provided

ABOUT THE ROLE n

As a Building Cadet , you'll gain hands‑on site experience, learning directly from experienced Project Managers. You’ll be exposed to bothsite supervision and project coordination – the perfect foundation for a long‑term career in construction project management.

This is an entry‑level role, ideal for:

n

n
- n

Someone with a trade background looking to move into project management, or

n
- n

A recent graduate or current student in Building and Construction Management

n

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- n

Assist in site supervision – ensuring contractor works are on schedule and to spec

n
- n

Monitor and document Work Health & Safety (WHS) compliance

n
- n

Coordinate contractors and suppliers to meet deadlines and budgets

n
- n

Support financial tracking, identifying project risks and opportunities

n
- n

Learn the ins and outs of contract management and full project lifecycles

n
- n





Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the Project Manager.

n
- n

Conduct quality inspections and ensure that any defects are corrected

n
- n

Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for both workers, sub‑contractors, clients and residents.

n
- n

Conduct weekly site inspections and audits in Rapid Inductto ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.

n

n

REQUIREMENTS

n

A trade qualification and is looking to transition into site supervision or project management, OR

n

A Diploma or bachelor's degree in construction project management (or similar field).

n

Additional Requirements:

Valid work rights in Australia

n
- n

Valid driver’s license

n
- n

Ability to obtain Police Clearance, WWAC and WWCC

n
- n

Construction white card

n
