Cloud Team Lead

Permanent | Brisbane | Hybrid

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Team Lead to join a growing Managed Services environment in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical leadership and Cloud service delivery . You’ll lead a team of Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers, whilst acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues and major incidents.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

- Leading, coaching and developing a team of Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers
- Acting as the L4 escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents
- Providing technical leadership across AWS and on-prem Microsoft environments
- Supporting SLA, incident and backlog management
- Reviewing complex technical work, changes and root cause analysis
- Driving continuous improvement across service delivery and operational processes
- Identifying capability gaps and supporting training and certification plans
- Working closely with Service Delivery and Customer Success teams on client escalations
- Contributing to Cloud standards, reference architectures and delivery practices
- Helping shape and develop the wider Cloud Practice as it grows

About you

We’re looking for someone with:





- Strpng hands-on AWS experience, particularly across areas such as networking, IAM, landing zones and Well-Architected principles
- Solid Microsoft infrastructure experience, including areas such as Active Directory, virtualisation and hybrid environments
- Previous experience within a Managed Services / MSP environment
- Experience leading and developing technical teams
- Strong experience with incident, escalation and problem management
- A good understanding of SLAs, operational delivery and service quality
- The ability to remain technically involved while also providing effective people leadership
- A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in developing Cloud services and capability

Alongside leading the team and supporting day-to-day service delivery, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the Cloud Practice , including its standards, capability roadmap and delivery approach, with the potential to take on greater ownership as the practice develops.
