Miles Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Acute Ward team in Miles, Queensland on a three-week contract. This is a hands-on clinical role offering the chance to work in a agile acute care environment where your expertise will make a direct impact. The position runs from 2 November to 22 November 2026, with up to 80 hours per fortnight, and includes on-call responsibilities as part of the role.

- Three-week contract in acute care with scope to lead and mentor within the team
- Up to 80 hours per fortnight with on-call flexibility built into the roster
- Work in a rural and remote setting where your advanced clinical skills are valued

Preferred Requirements

- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) qualification




- Demonstrated competence in cannulation and emergency response protocols
- Experience in triage assessment and the ability to prioritise effectively in acute settings
- Proven experience working in rural and remote healthcare environments
- Team leadership capability with the ability to support and guide colleagues in a fast-paced ward

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Post-graduate or specialist qualification in emergency or acute care nursing
