Shanvi Painting is dedicated in providing the best quality painting for its Commercial, Strata and Residential clients. Our service is available 24 hours X 7 days a week including holidays. We service most of New South Wales, Canberra and Eastern & Southern Queensland. We provide skilled technical advice, design and colour selection assistance to help you meet project budgets and all other requirements you may need. Hence we need a Painter to undertake the following tasks:

1. Undertake all aspects of painting (high end new homes, residential repaints, commercial projects, strata community)
n
2. Ensuring area is safe and marked out before starting an work
n
3. Ability to produce top quality finishes including oil base enamelling.
n
4. Must effectively use brushes, rollers and sprays
n
5. Preparing surfaces for painting, filling nail holes, cracks and joints
n
6. Removing fixtures and ensuring surrounding services are protected
n
7. Responsible for the application of paint, varnish, stain,



enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of buildings and other structures on site.
n
8. Responsible for preparing paints to required colour by mixing portions of pigment, oil and thinning
n
9. Restoration of period homes: spray finish enamel work, wallpapering; and rendering and plastering walls
n
10. Cleaning and storing equipment and maintaining premises in a tidy condition
n
11. Removal or waste and recyclable items
n
12. Ensuring a safe work practice in line with company policies and procedures
n
13. Strong knowledge of all correct preparation techniques.
n
14. Interact and communicate with clients/builders/other trades.
n
15. Sound product knowledge of an array of paints/materials on the market.
n
16. Be able to read/interpret plans.
n

Skills Required n

Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

n

Education: Cert III + at least 2 years of on job training or Cert IV or Diploma and

n

Experience: At least 1 year of highly relevant experience

n

OR

n

At least 3 years of highly relevant experience if no formal qualification

Skills n

1. Work experience in Painting - Commercial and Residential
n
2. Specialised in painting walls, doors, windows, draws, cabinets, wardrobes & all interiors & exteriors
