Job Description
At PMHC, every employee plays a part in ensuring we work

n this, we seek 2 dedicated Sewerage Pump Stations Attendants to undertake
n the operation, maintenance and repair of Council’s sewage pumping stations and
n associated infrastructure across the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.
To succeed in this role, you will have: n
n
- Demonstrated
n experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of pumping and/or
n civil infrastructure within a water utility or other relevant field.
n
- Proven
n ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
n
- An
n understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements and a demonstrated
n willingness to work in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures
n and Council policies.
n
- A
n General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
n
- A
n current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence or willing to obtain prior to commencement.
n
- The
n ability and willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster
n and undertake planned and unplanned overtime.
n
On a typical day this role will: nn
- Operate,
n maintain and repair Council’s sewage pumping stations and associated odour
n management systems.
n
- Respond
n to sewer chokes, overflow events and other operational emergencies.
n
- Monitor
n network performance and respond to alarms using systems including SCADA
n and Water Outlook.
n
- Undertake
n sewage quality sampling, odour monitoring and other planned and reactive
n operational activities.
n
- Participate
n in PMHC’s after-hours on-call roster and planned and unplanned overtime as
n required.
n
Remuneration and Benefits n
Employment type: Permanent,
full-time role (38 hours per
n week with 9-day fortnight)
n
Salary (exclusive of 12% super): Starting salary of $
n per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression up to $ per
n week.
